# Commands and permissions

> Every LodeItems command, and who can use it.

## Admin commands

`/lodeitems` (or `/li`) needs the **`lodeitems.command`** permission. Ops have it.

| Command | Does |
| - | - |
| `/li give <item> [amount] [players]` | Gives an item. `ruby` works as well as `lodeitems:ruby`, unless two namespaces both have a `ruby`. |
| `/li list` | Lists every item. Click one to get it. |
| `/li browse [search]` | Opens the [item browser](#item-browser). Also `/li b`, `/li inv`, `/li inventory`. |
| `/li inspect <item>` | Prints every data component the item has, as Minecraft stores it. |
| `/li reload` | Reads `items/` again and rebuilds and resends the pack. See [Reloading](https://items.lodemc.net/basics.md#reloading). |
| `/li prop place <id> <x y z> [yaw]` | Places a [prop](https://items.lodemc.net/furniture.md) without a player. (`/li furniture` still works.) |
| `/li prop remove <radius>` | Removes every prop within the radius around you, with no drops. |
| `/li import nexo` | Converts Nexo configs. See [Importing](https://items.lodemc.net/importing.md). |
| `/li import itemsadder` | Converts ItemsAdder configs. |

## /give

LodeItems replaces vanilla `/give` with one that also knows custom items, and suggests them as you type:

```text theme={null}
/give @p lodeitems:ruby 5
/give Steve ruby_sword
/give @a diamond_sword[enchantments={sharpness:5}]
```

Everything vanilla `/give` accepts still works, including components and modded items. It needs the same permission as vanilla's, `minecraft.command.give`. The original is still there as `/minecraft:give`.

## Player commands

Everyone can use these:

| Command | Does |
| - | - |
| `/packs` | Turns [optional resource packs](https://items.lodemc.net/resource-pack.md#optional-packs) on and off. |
| `/hud` | Lists [HUDs](https://items.lodemc.net/huds.md) and turns them on and off. `/hud <id> [on\|off]`. |

## Item browser

`/li browse` opens a menu of every item, sorted into categories. Each category is an item's `category:` or the first folder it lives in under `items/`.

* Click an item to get one. Shift-click for a full stack.
* The search button (or `/li browse <text>`) finds items by id or name.

Players who have the resource pack see the menu with its own artwork. Players without it get a plain chest menu.

## Other permissions

Glyphs and HUDs can each have their own permission (`permission:` in their config), and [event conditions](https://items.lodemc.net/events.md#conditions) can check any permission you like.
